Health and Food
Technology allows pupils to further develop knowledge and skills already
acquired in primary schools in the area of Environmental Studies, Personal
and Social Development and the Expressive Arts. They are given the
opportunity to learn about their own needs and the needs of others, and
learn to cooperate in shared endeavours.
The course in S1 and
S2 introduces pupils to essential life-skills needed to cope with important
issues in the technological world in which we live. They are taught in a
safe environment and have the opportunity to participate in fun practical
sessions aimed at encouraging their creative ability as well as increasing
their self confidence and thus allowing them to reach their full potential.
