confidently;

Problem Solving.
The
Course
Based on information supplied by
the Primary School, pupils will be set into classes of equivalent ability as
soon as possible. This enables pupils to continue their Mathematics course
from the point they reached in P7. Direct teaching of these ability sets
allows the most able to be stretched as far as possible while Support for
Learning can be concentrated in the sets containing the pupils who require
it.
Assessment
Pupils are assessed at
their own level at the end of a block of work by class tests approximately
every four weeks. More extensive tests covering several topics be set
at appropriate points in the year.
