What is the Parent Council?

The Parent council was formed following the introduction of the

What do we do?

The Parent Council supports the work of the school in a variety of ways and it:

 · helps parents to become involved in their child’s learning to improve achievement

 · build positive relationships
between the Parent Forum, the school and the wider community

 · fundraises to provide additional equipment and resources for the school

 · facilitates school events and works with staff to devise events which are enjoyable, encourage parental participation and that suit the needs of parents and fit into their schedules

How can I get involved in my child’s education?

 By:

 · encouraging your child to take an active part in school activities

 · checking learning outcomes on a regular basis

 · supporting your child by coming along to parents’ evenings

 · checking your child has everything before leaving home

 · supporting fundraising activities within the school
